the art of war ...? consider thy enemy ? WTF?

It takes two to have a fight. does that mean, to not fight you get beat up? does it mean you become passive agressive? or manipulative? How will we shift our thinking as we move into the next millenium?

Someone said to me last week, this old phrase Ive been considering for the past several months : "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer".


I have never subscribed to this 'art of war'. I have my own theory that I have lived by and we can consider it here together.

I heard advise from one of my 'brothers in spirit' who is also gnostic, as I. He said that no GENERAL wants to blow up a bridge because you don't want to spend man power re-building it later."

I heard advise from an industry sister who gave details of watching what others are doing so you can 'get ahead of them' and succeed.

Then I opened the door to all and waited to see what happened, for the first time in my life "considering my enemies".



As a young mother I never 'considered my enemies' as far as the pedophiles in the community, I watched my own children. I kept them close and considered our family privacy and connection.
To use my sister's theory, I would have had to take my children to the park where the pedophiles were, and then watched the pedophiles and not so much my children. This art of war does not seem worth my consideration and brings me much less joy than the love of my household did.

I considered the chicken coup and the dreaded fox out back. To maintain the safety of my flock I would be forced to lay wake and guard them, or launch a hunt to destroy the fox. All of which would take my focus off the wily happenings within my hen house. Shall I return to rotten broken eggs and bow legged chicks? Or shall I remove the bridge.

What 'ere it takes!

I have to admit laughing my butt off watching the tragedy of the floods here in Mass. News Seven crews got out there and shot some amazing footage! It tickled me inside to a roaring giggle to see the proof in action of Massachusetts citizens doing what ever needs to be done to keep things running.
Everyone was just doing their own job when they sprang into action. The camera crews were doing their thing, showign us the police doing theirs, and a back hoe operator rescuing flood victims. They each balanced on the front end loader thing, scooped up and hanging on to the big shovel. They were for sure havng a bad day. But close by there will be police and ambulances, and temporary shelter while the water receeds. THere will be state and private agencies ready to assist with permanent housing, necessities and even job retraining, if they are seriously displaced. Medical, mental and physical heath will be cared for for every citizen in need of it as we get through it. I have great faith in the citizens of my state. Im proud to be from here, and proud to be shown the evidence of the reasons why.

Lessons in Gratitude No good deed goes unpunished

Rolling along in our day to day lives there are often times the chaps that get in the path before us creating "opportunity". Friendship, Merriment, Myrrh! Come this way and watch me fly say the passers by on the path as they shift to and from before you in the way. 'This way this way' the chant is heard; though thoughts of comfort become obscured. If you help me with this little bit I will help you with much in the future but the future is known never to come for there is only now. Bend and bend to the point of breaking! "Come away from the path to see!" Should you ever return to your path, watch for behind you will see.


And those who once did block the path stand behind in their chanting in remembrance of the days they were given, and good deeds that were done, for them. Of no value is the time spent on them, no good thing rings from their mouths, They are but liars and soothsayers. Word slayers and drag- on's unprepared to meet the merry mouth of truth.

Those with no regrets GLADLY pay their Karma. In full and before hand.
For when was given five, ten and twenty, the karma was paid even as insurance because you ask for even more for you greedy self who has no gratitude in wealth .. in the end, you will be given nothing.

The 'Expert' Dilema No Respect

Again today I found myself immersed in a conversation about experts in the paranormal field. I lead it right back to respect for experience. The word "EXPERT" indicates experience and mastery of the tools of your craft.
I feel bad for serious paranormal investigators who have mastered the craft, the art and the tools of their trade, who are professionals, fore-runners in a fledgling industry blazing a trail for the rest of us. Not only are they conned out of the right to use the prestigious words that rightfully describe them as experts, masters of their craft, and leaders of their industry they are continually expected to do their work for free. No "GRANT" is available for the scientific discovery of the field of the paranormal. One day soon when the governments begin to recognize and regulate the field and certify the tools and procedures, the "people" will offer grants to the science. But until then, its people's vacation money, week end expenses and deep pockets that fund the "Science".

For the hundreds of well known "Scientific Evidence" that is available through several search engines, new and old media, the most 'famous and well known' images and audio clips are only on rare occassion accompanied by the capturer of the evidence unless it is being barraged and maligned. There is a common mantra about the "sharing" of evidence but not much talk of maintaining copyrights, credits, or residuals as monetary gain from such 'sharing'.

The whole industry is in dire need of an ethics review committee... but thats just my two cents that Ive been paying since I got into the paranormal in 2007. Lets make 2010 a better year.
