ILN planning an amazing may event

The Intuitive Life Network, famous for mixing up the most amazingly eclectic events heard of in New England, has done it again. Inspired to produce an awareness campaign for "Let the Black Cats Live" no kill cat shelter exclusively for black cats, is hosting an all day event complete with musical competitions, comedy entertainment and a bonanza of fashion run-way ready.

More Black Cats are reportedly put to sleep for homelessness than any other color cat each year. I cant think of anyone who would be HAPPY about a nice little kitty being put to sleep. Less people will adopt Black Cats than any other color cat. My friends at the no kill shelter care and find permanent homes for many of these wonderful mysterious little friends.

Novelty Vendors, Crafters, Artists & Artisans and MML Recruiters are all equally welcome to participate in this full-day bonanza of fun! Sweet smelling candles, magic and mayhem all under one roof!

To participate in this Amazing May Event 2010 send an email with your interest to contact @ IntuitiveLifeNetwork.org << remove the spaces

Volunteer to participate! Join the STREET TEAM, Entertain as a clown or face painter, EVERYONE WELCOME. (All children under 16 must be supervised by an adult)

Valentine Day .. just another chance

There are very few memories I have of holidays that stand out in any one year. Though there are days and times that the memory brings forward quickly enough each year for each year it stores. "Oh Yeah!" one might say, thats the year of some other event they considered to be a major influence in one way or another.
Valentines Day memories, for those who have marked the holiday as some sort of year cursor, are as varied as any other from individual perceptions. For some it marks the years of a love won, and for others of love lost. It divides the two perspectives like the Christmas Want/Need knife that marks the influences of the season.
This supposed season of "love" draws memories from the well as random as the sands of the sea. Some years having a stuffed full box of valentines and other times not drawing even a few. A holiday, like all the others, remembered and celebrated for a few short hours.
This holiday I hope we mark a new record. A record of a time, when we can draw for all of the generosity of one season (Christmas) and Camaraderie of another (Thanksgiving) combined with the hope of yet more (Easter, Quanza, All Saints Day) and share freely the simple acceptance of a cheap Valentine card, with the open heart of a kindergardener spirit.

You can dear reader count me as one of your valentines; every other day I count you sacredly as mine. ;)

If your bumming out this Valentine's Day and you want to party with some heavy metal and goth comrades check Dark Sky Productions show Tonight!

Flip Side >> Karma and you

Ive always been a fan of the flip side. When I was young I'd sneak into my siblings' rooms and play their 45's and records. They were always extremely forgiving to me, as I played the "WRONG SIDE" of the 45's anyway there was no worry for me scratching their favorites.
Ive found some fantastic flip side gold in my life. Not only on the old Steve Miller and Rolling Stones 45's but other places too.

Its always important to look at the flip side of things. When you read that, I bet 3 out of 4 of you thought of the bad things, or second rate at least, being on the flip side. Being a daughter of God, I find myself around 'spiritual people' quite a bit and Ive noticed an increase in the use of the word KARMA. It brings to mind the shuddering days of tent preachers spouting fire and brimstone at the populace with phrases referring to the judgment of an exacting God. Whatever and whoever your work in this life serves, it should not be that you serve out of fear. Not then, and now now, with this Karma doctrine being spouted left and right in the "light worker community' should be no exception to the rule.

Many things in this life are black and white. Karma is not one of them. For all the acts of kindness, expressions of gratitude and good will that we put out there, on the days that our humanity and carnal nature kicks into ravenous survival mode, there is hope for the gray area.
For in the gray area is where we find the greatest amounts of charity, mercy, forgiveness, gratitude, understanding, encouragement and hope that life has to offer.

The light cannot exist without the dark. For every wound I have kissed and tear I have dried, in light; I would, for sure, give my life for all those I love and cherish, and I have given much of my life to those I love. Strength for protection and to breakdown barriers alike we must possess it to fully manifest the so called light we possess.

To fear Karma is to fear yourself, to fear your life's actions and all you have created. Be good to yourself. If today your day is bright and your Karmic presence is full of light share it in the darkest corners you can. Not to force light so bright, just enough to create dim shadows. Be good to one another. If today you feel a darkness in your life, for all the dark days I have experienced, I claim you as my own, and wash you with my own Karma as it returns to me. Together we face a tomorrow brighter than any one has ever been before. Perhaps the beautiful bright gray of a mid day sun shower in June.

Think Good Things and always check the flip side.

luv lucy
