A Cure for Camel Toe? ... WTF? really?

RECENT QUOTES on the topic from the'EXPERTS'

That's right, our society, our generation will be known for producing the inventors of the cure for .. no no .. not Polio, ... not rabies, .. no no .. not the flue .. but you guessed it, CAMEL TOE.

The phrase refers to the fleshy part of of a woman's pelvic area when tight, thin or clinging bottoms are worn. The 'condition' has been joked about, laughed about and posted all over the web with witty quips and quotes.

No Laughing Matter

A recent quote from a prolific poster on one of my social sites says: "I wonder if Camels go around saying oh no I have p^ssy feet" and I admit it gives a giggle but is surgery going too far?

I for one am totally disgusted with the entire 'consumer mind' gotta have, gotta get, and get more. It wouldn't be so bad if our communities were not all capped off with mile high mounds of garbage! There are sure to be pounds and pounds of these babies in our land fills. I hope from the other side we get to witness our great grandchildren discovering these in our land fills. The world's leading experts in all things of the 21st century who will have been educated in the world's top schools with the highest government clearances will be standing at the podium someday describing this artifact and the horrors women put them selves through with ridiculous surgery. I hope we laugh as we peer through the veil.

As a regular purger of my social spaces, seeing the mess spammers, scammers, and the general 'creepy person' can make on the social scene, there are a few general rules I follow to keep an eye on whose keeping an eye on me.

I used to be a ... (excuse the political incorrectness) Myspace Hoe. A prolific poster, blogger and responsive connect. I loved myspace, and I still spend a lot of time there, but it was true when I said on my show one day 'strangers took over my space'. Now, I take over my space; so if you want to take over your space, here are some general rules I try to follow:

1. People who add the friends you converse regularly with in your public stream but never converse with you or them.

2. People who post the same post repeatedly and nothing else

3. People who's posts make you feel uncomfortable in any way

4. People who tag you in pictures of shoes so that when your friends go to your page they see those shoes in stead of last week ends cookout pictures that your 'real' friends are looking for.

5. People that call you pet names but don't know your last name

6. anyone that connected to you through any of the above.

what does networking mean in real life

What does 'networking' mean in real life? It has become a term that turns my stomach. But for a few, I have only seen Fakes, Frauds, Fronters, Idea thieves, and social leaches use the word ... so WHAT does it really mean? I dont get it.

Im from a old school cold call business background in research and development. When I want to talk to someone I call them and ask for a few minutes of their time, I dont make friends with all their friends so I can drop names when I get to them either. I just pick up the phone.

I thought networking was a way to bring people on board for potential projects; (working together is to me the most fun when getting to know people)ah, the faults of a solid work ethic and honest approach.

Being in 'corporate introductions' that means Im accustomed to getting paid to actually introduce people to the ones they want to talk to. My job is to call and ask them to meet you and give them a good reason why I think they should in about 60 seconds and convince them to give my client an hour or more of their time.
This 'new world' order of 'networking' reminds me of the times girls wanted to date guys they couldnt get near, (mainly my brothers) so they pretended to be my friend.
Is networking as unethical as that?

"Networking" of today reminds me of the times I was out on a date, and some, (albeit good looking) man would come by and slip his phone number to me behind my dates back. Is networking really as sleazy as that?

Last week someone added me as a friend to a 'social networking site' I contacted the person directly and asked how I could help them. "Im just networking" was the reply.
Oh, I answered. Do you have a projected you think I would be interested in, or is there someone else you would like me to introduce you to?" was my reply.

Forget it! was the answer I got, with a soliloquies about how he had never had so many questions from a contact, and my inexperience with 'NETWORKING' was evident.

Sometimes its hard to be a friend to others; its part of the unity in community; to see fault in others and embrace them anyway for whatever good you deem they are worth. To be a true friend often means holding your ideas, judgments, wants, needs and priorities to the side for a minute, it means looking past the obvious flaws in another, and accepting them for who they are, where they are, as they are 100%.
Participants of the global movement of collective consciousness often find themselves in massive and eclectic company. Its easy to take things for granted, which I try not to do, so I always say 'thank you for being my friend today' to people who extend themselves, setting aside self if only for a moment. Its good manners to say thank you, and a positive quality to appreciate friendship.
Say it and mean it, "THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIEND TODAY" its so easy to say, spreads less germs than a hug, and you dont even have to pay for a postage stamp.

Out of respect for Gemjin Executive Producer, Lucy Diamond, whose mother passed quietly in her sleep after a long illness, Gemjin Radio will be running encores on Tuesday and Wednesday.
With the assistance of our new Jr Producers, 'Godly Conent' and DJ Gemjin the station will be back on line for regular programming Thanksgiving day.

My Mom has been sick, and I havent been myself lately. Thanks to everyone for all the lovely texts and for dropping into the chat. It means a lot to me when people step in and keep things going.

Special thank you to the ones who have been guest hosting the shows. I have been terribly distracted, and you are all doing a great job. Im proud of Thadeus, and Anthony Pauly who jumped in both feet with no experience. It can be quite un-nerving to be on live radio. Thank you both for your courage and willing hearts.
