Believing in the talent of others is what pushes the wheel forward

Everyone knows I am a fan of photography .. skip to fashion, and auctions and your on the page where pictures of the amazing jewels once owned by the possessor of revered beauty and fame; Elizabeth Tailor, now wait elegantly for auction. Elizabeth Tailor was one of the strongest independent feminine energies our generation had the privileged of witnessing. I am a big fan of talent and I think that might be something that made Mz Tailor an obvious candidate for icon-hood. She proved her respect for those with talent, promoted the expansion of talent, and took risks for her principles. I wonder if the jewelers who created those amazing pieces would have been able to afford to expand so if it were not for her love of the artisan craft.

Should we wonder if the personal tailors to Princess Dianna would have ever had the opportunity to create what they did without her appreciation of talent. She was ever the wistful one with a wardrobe that set the pace for the 'modern women' of the world.

Epic talent like Jay Leno, (and Johnny Carson before him) who probably wants to retire by now, stands to mind. His show if filled with shorts from teams of young talent relishing in the opportunities he creates. Appreciating the talent of others is what I think keeps iconic talent humble, human, and expanding.

Maybe being an amateur cheerleader is nothing compared to icons like these and others, but its something. Believing in the talent of others is what pushes the wheel forward. At least that's what I think.

What are your thoughts on talent?
